Our old house (over 200 years old) is in a prominent position in the centre of a Conservation Area. Some time ago the wall of the front porch to the house developed a crack, which steadily got worse until comprehensive repair was unavoidable. We were afraid the entire porch might collapse but Ben said he could do it without spoiling the appearance of the porch.

He was better than his word; he managed to dismantle the structural brick pillar, remove the cause of the crack (an ancient, corroded iron bar) and re-construct the brickwork using old bricks and lime mortar, perfectly blending in with the appearance of the old wall. At the same time he renewed the old front door. My husband and I are very pleased with Ben's work and we would wholeheartedly recommend Ben for his skill and efficiency. We intend to give him all our building tasks. Thank you Ben.

Ben came highly recommended to us by someone who had worked on our extension for a number of months. I had every faith in that individual’s judgement so was happy to hire Ben. The scope of work was to establish a new terrace for us, including the creation of steps between the 2 garden levels, pergola, paths, gates and integrated raised flower beds. Total project budget was in the region 0f £20k.

Ben developed all of the plans and costings, consulting at all times with his client. His creativity and attention to detail are key strength and he was very helpful in making suggestions that further improved the look of what he delivered. Ben may have trained as a bricklayer, however he has also certainly mastered many other building skills. He was a pleasure to work with, personable, reliable and a good communicator, whilst also delivering our project on time and on budget.

We are delighted with our new garden structure and have no hesitation in recommending Ben.
